Dolphin Premier Pool Cleaner: Fit, Filters and Ownership Checks

The Dolphin Premier is a corded robotic pool cleaner whose suitability depends on the pool and debris, not just its model name. Confirm the exact SKU, included filtration and service terms. This guide interprets manufacturer information; it is not a hands-on cleaning test.

Match the current manufacturer listing

Maytronics lists the Dolphin Premier under SKU 99996339-SPL, with a maximum pool length of 50 ft, floor/wall/waterline coverage and a default three-hour cycle. Treat those as published specifications for that listing, not proof that every seller’s similarly named bundle is identical.

Measure the pool and note its surface, shape, slopes and obstacles. A length limit is only one fit check. Confirm the current manual’s supported pool conditions and how the power supply and cable can be positioned at your property.

Check filters against the debris problem

Ask exactly which filter components are supplied in the package and which are optional. Leaves and fine sediment create different collection and cleaning demands. Do not infer a particular filter grade or included bag from a general “multi-filter” description.

If fine debris is your main concern, request the manufacturer’s specification for the installed filter and compare it with the relevant alternative. A cycle completing successfully does not prove that the cleaner captures every particle size.

Your pool problemQuestion to resolve
Large leavesWhat collection component is included, and how is it emptied?
Fine sedimentWhat is the documented filtration specification?
Steps or tanning ledgeIs that geometry and water depth explicitly supported?
Frequent cleaningHow does filter care fit the planned schedule?

Do not assume waterline coverage means ledge coverage

A robot advertised for walls and waterline is not automatically suitable for shallow shelves or every step. Record ledge depth, dimensions and transitions, then ask Maytronics about the exact geometry. Keep a manual cleaning method available for areas outside documented capability.

Evaluate retrieval and filter handling as part of ownership. Check the cleaner’s weight, removal instructions and the route to its storage location. Cable management and power-supply placement are part of a corded routine, not details to resolve after purchase.

Compare the complete offer

Confirm seller identity, local warranty coverage, return conditions and parts access. Price the actual filter package and any storage accessory you want. Avoid comparing one bare unit with another seller’s bundle as if only the cleaner price differed.

Choose Premier when its documented coverage and corded workflow match your pool. We have not established that it cleans faster or more thoroughly than competing models. Use the pool-type and corded-versus-cordless guides to make those trade-offs explicit before ordering.
